Welcome to Castle Brake

Castle Brake is situated 1.5miles from the village of Woodbury in the idyllic setting of Woodbury Common. It is a short drive to the Jurassic Coast beaches at Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton & Sidmouth or the city of Exeter.

We offer high quality Holiday Caravans for hire, touring pitches for caravans, tents and motor homes, annual caravan storage and seasonal pitches for touring caravans.

The park is family owned and run and you can be assured that we will do our upmost to ensure you have an enjoyable, relaxing holiday.

Whilst we are not a large park our superb facilities are of exceptional quality and we offer facilities such as a Bar & Restaurant and Sauna & Steam Suite, bicycle / exercise track and a lot of recreational space around the park. This ensures visitors have room on the park to have a walk, watch the wildlife and enjoy our high standards of cleanliness and service.

Charity News:
Extract from the Barn Owl Trust Magazine, Autumn 2006:
Castle Brake Caravan Park nominated the Barn Owl Trust as its charity of the year in 2006. They began their support by sending us a cheque for £100 which was their commission from selling a caravan on behalf of a customer. The caravan park is run by Tony & Dare Walker and is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; close to Woodbury Common in East Devon. Tony and Dare have created a wildlife haven as well as a popular holiday park and have received a Gold Conservation Award from Professor David Bellamy every year since 1998 by providing a peaceful retreat for both people and wildlife.
Throughout the summer months they have sold Barn Owl Trust cuddly owlets, key rings and supported sponsorship of owls at the Barn Owl Trust Sanctuary. They also set up a hunt round the park to entertain visitors throughout the holiday season. In all £1076 has been raised.

In 2007 we will be supporting the Devon Wildlife Trust & have some lovely ideas to keep visitors amused.


 

Four Star Holiday Park
Castle Brake is a four star holiday park inspected and graded under the English Tourism Council Quality Assurance Scheme.
We scored excellent marks for cleanliness, shower block facilities etc

Rose Award Caravans
Every holiday caravan at Castle Brake has a 2007 Rose Award from Enjoy England. This is the highest award given for accommodation of excellent quality.
Every caravan has central heating and double glazing throughout. This is not the case at most parks.

Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award
Castle Brake has a David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation. This is the highest award under the scheme given for the park's commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural environment. The park compares well with many small nature reserves with similar habitat and the small wild flower meadow is one of the best of its type and buzzing with wildlife.
